Special and Unusual Cards

Undoubtedly one of the world's most famous hams was His Majesty, King Hussein I of Jordan.  The king, who preferred SSB to CW, frequently would show up on the HF bands.  The above card, supplied by long-time manager Mary Ann Crider, WA3HUP, is for my only JY1 QSO on 1.Apr.1971 on 15M At the other end of the amateur spectrum is this card from WB6MID/8R3 from Jonestown, Guyana.  Albert Touchette, the operator of the station, was identified by the media as one of those who participated in the killing of California Congressman Leo Ryan and others on 18.Nov.1978, just before the mass killings and deaths of members of Jim Jones' People's Temple.

Below are some of the QSLs from Vladimir Bykov, UA4WHX and his travels and operations in Africa in 2005-2007.  The photographs and the captions (his) add beauty and understanding to some spectacular cards.
